A place steeped in history and anecdotes about political meetings outside the Federal Parliament. And so there is a constant coming and going, but it is always calm and orderly. Down-to-earth brasserie cuisine and professional service. The fresh side salad in a bowl for you to mix and serve yourself is particularly appealing. The restaurant is very centrally located in the city and has a glass conservatory. Perfect location for business lunch, touristic stop's or family gatherings.

Wow, this was an excellent meal! Really loved everything here. We started with the excellent mixed salad. The dressing is fabulous. Moved on to the steak with the frites. Swiss beef - superb. Cooked perfectly with a delicious mustard sauce. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Just right. Wines by the glass were super tasty. Atmosphere is comfortable with good service. Loved this meal! Smart recommendation from my friend Rick Steves.

Went on Tuesday lunch. Excellent service and food. We shared the steak and fries, and the beef carpaccio. The butter sauce on the steak was delicious

Had a lovely meal there yesterday. The steak medium-rare was Swiss beef, beautifully tender and juicy, paired with a lovely sauce full of umami. Every mouthful was a delight. The perch from Lake Geneva was deep-fried to a crisp, as was the pommes frite, served with freshly made tartar sauce. We rounded it off with a lemon tart which was another winner. Citrusy with a nice balance of sweetness. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Bern.
